As another month comes to an end, I have to ask.... where the hell did 5 months of a year go??!!
I know that I have had my head down working hard to finish the editing and mix down of my latest song Flatline D.O.A but I still can't believe 5 months have past!
So what's been happening in April?
As you can see by the pic above, Shout Down The Silence is experiencing an enjoyable run of award wins for numerous International Film Festivals.
The latest festival to award SDTS Best Music Video is the OTB Film Awards.
To date that makes 17 award wins and / or Film Festival screening selections.
To say I am happy about this would be a gross understatement.
As a first time producer & director, it is humbling to have made something worthy of multiple awards.
In addition to this, I have been very busy organising the music video clip for Flatline D.O.A and secretly wondering how I am going to pull off something that is more difficult than SDTS and definitely has a lot more working parts!
Fortunately I have teamed up Peter Renzullo again who will be with me every step of the way.
We are both aiming for 20 wins for this next music video lol.
Other things going on atm include me sitting down to review a heap of music by my good friend and song writing partner Reiner Rodriguez has sent across.
I'm hoping that I'll have enough material considered worthy to find it's way on to a brand new album.
The only other thing to do now is start planning a few tours in 2023/24 in the hope that we will be out of the pandemic and able to travel again.

So I need to apologise for being slack and not getting this update out sooner. I had every intention of getting news out to you by the start of March but as usual, life and creativity got in the way :)
So what's been happening?
Lets begin with NEW MUSIC.
I've been so lucky to be able to continue to work with the very talented Mr Reinier Martinez Rodriguez.
Over the past month, Rey and I have been collaborating on 2 new tracks which we hope will be ready to go in a month or two.
Both tracks have the attention of my label Epictronic which is an awesome piece of info to know.
Both tracks will also feature music videos with each one being completely different to anything I have offered up to date.
The story board for my next single Flat Line D.O.A
has been completed, reviewed, refined and is now ready to go.
I am once again working with the very talented film maker Mr. Peter Renzullo which is just plain awesome.
We are currently casting for the lead roles in this video and once all this has been sorted we will be shooting asap.
The second video is going to be a real challenge as it's something completely out of my wheelhouse and I will be relying on a lot of very talented people to bring this idea to fruition.
The song is called
The Memory Lingers.
You might remember that I posted a live acoustic version of this song back in 2019 but since then Rey and I have given it a make over and made it really sexy and smooth.
I'm confident that it will live up to expectations.
So to sum it up - 2 new songs being created, recorded and video's being made up in order to release them with my label Epictronic.

Shout Down The Silence continues to win awards in the Best Music Video categories in various International Film Festivals.
The latest being the Krimson Horyzon International Film Festival, The Ray International Film Festival. The Havelock International Film Festival and the Crown Wood International Film Festival.
To date the video has been selected in and /or won 14 International Film Festivals.
The clip on YouTube has nearly reached 450,000 views and it continues to do well garnering radio play throughout the world.

Seriously... I promise!
So another week has past and another lockdown finished.
Yep that's right, my home state of Western Australia went into a snap 5 day lockdown after 1 security guard tested positive for the new UK Covid Variant strain after working in a quarantine hotel.
After enjoying 10 months of zero Covid-19 in my state, it was a bit of a wake up call to remind me of how lucky I am to live in this fine country and this super secure state of WA.
There is no where else in the world that has enjoyed such a long run of zero Covid cases and this has really enabled us to get back into live shows, work on collaborations with other artists, get out to enjoy the summer with friends and family and all without masks, restrictions or concerns.
So what has all this got to do with the title heading??
"Come on man get to the point" I hear you saying...

This week I put the finishing touches to a brand new track called "Flatline D.O.A."
It's another brilliant piece of music written by Reinier Martinez Rodriguez who is my go to music man when it comes to collaborations.
Rey is amazing when it comes to creating the music that fits me best and that allows me to out all my creative vision and lyrical ideas into.
In the coming weeks I will be teaming up with Award winning Film Maker and Engineer Peter Renzullo to finalize the vocals for this track and commence the planning for the music video.

Things continue to go from strength to strength with the new single Shout Down The Silence.
Having signed a record deal with Epictronic, my first single “Shout Down The Silence” has rocketed into the consciousness of thousands of people all around the globe via YouTube, global distribution partner The Orchard (Sony) and of course you guys, my very dedicated fan base that continues to share my work via multiple online platforms.

I write my music for public consumption and invest a lot of time, emotion, money and effort into creating tracks that connect and mean something to people. When I had finished tracking SDTS (Shout Down The Silence), I just knew it wasn’t complete until a video was made for it.
Having access to award winning Movie maker Peter Renzullo to help me deliver the songs’ message by creating something amazing, thought provoking and visually challenging was such a coup and one I am forever grateful for.
The finished product was a music video that is powerful, controversial, engaging and confronting at the same time.
It is a direct visualisation of the lyrics within the song and I know that both Peter and I had similar vision and direction with where we wanted to take this music video.
Through all this though, I never expected the music video to be embraced by so many and not in my wildest dreams did I think it would be worthy of a Best Music Video Award, let alone 6 times over.
I guess it just goes to show that the world is looking for answers and searching for hope during these challenging times.

The latest news out of Italy is not the rising numbers of people infected by Covid 19 but of the silver lining that comes amidst this global pandemic and the rolling lock downs that has shifted the way we consume and enjoy music.
Italian label Epictronic is a shining example of this and demonstrates its commitment to future music, having just secured the rights to the new controversial single
“Shout Down The Silence”
by Jeremy Harry Harris.
Label owner Carlo Belloti encountered Harry (as he prefers to be known) out of complete chance and was immediately taken by the music and the person.
Asked why he chose to pick up his newest stable mate, Carlo said
“I only have one word in my mind to describe this: RESPECT.
For this I feel respect for Jeremy and I want to help him to succeed with his music. He has a huge heart and I am sure that God and Karma will repay him with success on his music”.
The feeling appears to be completely mutual with artist Jeremy Harry Harris delighted with the outcome of recent discussions between both parties.

Epictronic takes on the controversial new single
Shout Down The Silence with a commitment to promote it globally through the various divisions it is aligned with including the Orchard Inc. (Sony) and Warner Chappell Music.
When asked about the song and why it was controversial, Jeremy had this to say.
“Written during the Covid-19 lockdown, this song explores the social distancing that we have really adopted and I am not talking about 1.5 metres.
I am talking about the level of disconnectedness that we as families, communities, cities, states, provinces, countries and on a global level, have allowed ourselves to become normal.
This song is controversial as it is a social commentary on what happens when we lose sight of connectedness and the consequences that arise out of doing so.
Many people just don’t want to be confronted by hard hitting truths and having it spelt out in a song and being shown the damage it caused through the accompanying music video, tends to anger some people.
I’m ok with that though because the song is also about the hope of what we can achieve if we seek understanding, unity and above all peaceful, open and thought provoking discussion amongst ourselves. Carlo agrees with me that this is a song that surmises everything we are facing in the world right now”.
Jeremy is not wrong and through the accompanying music video, paints a sobering picture that few would ever consider happening to anyone, let alone to themselves or to their loved ones. The divisive nature of the media, politics, herd mentality, fear and consequence are all explored whilst leaving room for the seed of hope to be planted, nurtured and upheld by future generations.
The song invites everyone to consider their role in creating unity for a better future.
With the video already achieving 4 Best Music Video awards at various International Film Festivals it is clear that Epictronic’s decision to sign Jeremy Harry Harris has already been validated.

Well it's been a huge month already and we've only just started it.
Here in Western Australia we have been most fortunate to avoid the worst of Covid 19.
Our borders are locked down but internally everything is pretty much back to normal.
This has meant less time for me to do video updates but I promise there's one or two on the way.
In addition to being busy with more songwriting, a few live shows to actual physical people, and plenty of radio promo and interviews, there has been yet more awards heaped upon my music video Shout Down The Silence.

I am so humbled and overwhelmed by the support that has been shown for this song and video.

Today is the day..
What's so special about the 9th Oct 2020 you may ask?
It's the day that the Shout Down The Silence music video and audio track is released globally through CD Baby.
It's up on my site under the Store tab and it's my best work done to date.
The journey taken to make this and then release it has been an amazing and challenging experience.
The emotional rollercoaster that I've experienced has been nothing short of phenomenal. I have laughed, cried, worried about it, been excited by it and lost sleep over it due to the challenges we had to overcome to bring this to life.
This is my biggest and boldest project to date and could not have been achieved without the selfless actions of so many people.

The Protest Scene
Sunday 23rd August 2020 saw over 70 people descend on to the Shout Down The Silence set in Midland to lend a hand as an extra for the Protest Rally Scene.
A wide range of people from all walks of life united as one to be part of something special.
Our cast of extras were absolutely amazing with every person there volunteering their time and efforts.
We had mums, dads, grandparents, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles. Teenagers, children, blind folks, wheelchair bound folks, carers, deaf folk, professional press, industry professionals and first timers all in the one place and all dedicated to show that age, gender, race, colour, creed or physical adversity is no barrier to success when we all join together as one with a common goal and vision.
Because of this, we were able to make this the best shoot ever!
My personal thanks goes out to each person willing to give up their time for me that day. I am humbled by your generosity.

It's been completely chaotic in the lead up to the Album release by my label Epictronic via Aural Music Group and The Orchard Sony.
Behind the scenes I have been conducting interview after interview with some of the biggest Rock Magazines in Europe including Sonic Seducer (Germany), Orkus (Germany), This Is Rock Revista (Spain) La Heavy Magazine (Spain), Mariskal Rock (Spain), Slam Magazine (Austria), Rock Hard (Italy), Yeah Magazine (Germany, Austria & Switzerland).
In addition the new album has already started well receiving high praise reviews from some of Europes leading Rock Reviewers.
A lot closer to home, Rossco from Hunter Brothers Media attended our Pre Album Launch Party on Sat 10th Feb 2024 at NightOwl Studio and was blown away by the live show delivered by me and my band the Treachery Of Ravens. Australian singer/songwriter Jeremy Harry Harris has released his powerful new single, "Flatline D.O.A," along with an accompanying music video on Friday 25thAugust 2023. The single is a compelling preview of his upcoming album, "Walking With My Darkness," set to release 16th February 2024.
"Flatline D.O.A" is a haunting exploration of death using the sub context of the deterioration of relationships, both literal and metaphorical. It delves into the stark, shocking realization that death can strip away everything, leaving only ambiguity in its wake. The song and music video depict the decay of love, respect, and trust, creating a void filled only with darkness, grief, confusion and ambiguity.

Australian born artist Jeremy Harry Harris has travelled half way around the world for one thing and one thing only!
Today in the beautiful surrounds of Italy, the prolific song writer and performer met with Epictronic label owner Carlo Bellotti to ink a deal destined to change his life forever.
Speaking with Harry (as he likes to be known), the excitement on display is infectious and genuine as he described what this partnership with Epictronic means and what’s in store over the next 12 - 18 months.

I know what you're all thinking...why so long between updates and what they hell is really going on with this supposed new album?
Well have I got some news for you!
I hunkered down in a dim dark basement for the whole of 2022...
I chained myself to the mixing console, locked all the doors and cut the phone lines to ensure I was totally focussed on finishing the album I started in 2021.
I lived off the tears of joy & frustration taking nourishment from the vivid dreams and aspirations of my laser focussed mind!
I toiled day and night, night and day stopping only to chastise myself for not having added another vocal harmony or guitar line into the mix as I angst over the 11 tracks that would be selected to make the final album cut.
Bleary eyed, devoid of Vitamin D and in need of a good grooming, I re-entered the land of the living in January of this year.
Much had changed since my self-imposed incarceration but one thing remained the same... the belief that this is the best album I have made to date in my career!
The album now has a name and a concept behind it, with multiple threads weaving their way between each song, tying up common themes and experiences that I am sure you have wrestled with yourself at some time in your life.
The album titled
Walking With My Darkness
contains 11 tracks written by yours truly and my musical genius song writing partner Mr. Reinier Martinez Rodriguez.
Trust me when I say that these songs are some of the most interesting and complex musical patterns I've had the pleasure to work on and with.
Painstakingly crafted into stories that reflect the common ground we share as humans on this great earth, Walking With My Darkness is a rare glimpse behind the personal curtain I maintain around my private life.
The team I now work with are currently preparing the final artwork for the album which is going to be worth the wait!
Walking With My Darkness
will include a special 16 page booklet featuring individual stylized artwork for each song along with the lyrics, a full list of credits and acknowledgements, in addition to liner notes and track times.
These will be available for both physical cd sales and digital download purchases to ensure no one misses out!

Ever woken up and just known that today was going to be a great day?
Well I most certainly DID NOT have that experience when I sat down bleary eyed with my morning coffee in one hand, my faithful dogs by my side and a long list of emails to wade throught whilst sitting quietly on a sunlit front porch of my suburban home.
No infact I had the exact opposite...
I begrudingly opened the email app on my phone and cursed the to do list I had written for myself the night before.
That was until I saw an email in from the boss of Epictronic, the label that released my controversial single
Shout Down The Silence.
Strange I thought... what's he emailing me for?
After all, the single was still performing relatively well, getting some spins on playlists & radio, still winning awards and getting views on YouTube, so there wasn't much more for me to do on this song.
I had no other pressing matters to discuss or any responsibilities I needed to meet, so it was all a bit odd for me tbh.
Then I scrolled down and read the email......
Carlo was writing to let me know that SDTS (Shout Down The Silence) since its release via Epictronic through its distribution network and The Orchard Sony, had gathered over 970,000 streams and views on the various digial platforms it was available on.
Coupled with this was the confirmed extrodinary number of 4100 radio stations having picked up the song for use on their radio shows all around the globe!
My day went from being "meh" to being bloody brilliant!
It just goes to show that when you put your mind to something, persist through the challenges and struggles and humble yourself to accept advice and help from those with more knowledge and in a better position to do so, exciting things happen!
For me, it's an amazing achievement and a testament to the team I have around me, that continue to support, uphold and encourage me to continue to write and record music.
